Law of Union in Fact or Civil Unions.

Please Forward
In order that we might recapitulate the experience of creating this blog, permit us to say simply that an incredible emotional and social bond has been created during these past several days. More than 295 people from Costa Rica, Spain, Mexico and Nicaragua have come together to march in solidarity for human dignity, for human rights for all men and women without regard to social rank or occupation disregarding gender, ethnic, or religious divisions.
No matter threats, fears, or criticisms we have unflinchingly announced our presence. Since last Wednesday until today (Saturday, August 2 th) more than 2 600people have visited the blog:
Nevertheless, we wish to ask you a very big favor: Please spread the word and invite more people to support the effort (toward legal recognition of gay and lesbian unions in Costa Rica) by sending a message to us at:
(The length of the message does not matter, it can be as short as five words) lending support to the passage of the la Ley de Unión de Hecho (Law of Union in Fact or Civil Unions). The writer should please include his or her given name and surname (Costa Rican nationals must also include the number of their cédula for presentation before the National Legislative Assembly). As of last week the opposition, consisting largely of members of obscure evangelical religious sects, have presented more than 1,200 signatures opposing the legislation. Our minimum goal is to at least duplicate that number of signatures.
However, it is our intent not only to present our messages and signatures before the National Legislative Assembly, but also to send them to the political parties PAC, Frente Amplio, and PASE to encourage them also to assume a political roll in support of this process. Finally, we would like to ask that if you know any illustrators, writers, poets or musicians who might be interested in helping by creating a logo, motto or slogan, or a song highlighting the struggle for the passage of this law against discrimination please encourage them to step forward with their work.
